Privacy Policy

Yantra Granular does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The application has no network functionality of any kind: it never connects to the internet, and nothing you do in it leaves your computer.

Data we collect

None. There are no user accounts, no registration, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party tracking components. The application contains no code capable of making a network connection.

Audio input and your microphone

Yantra Granular can process audio from an input device you select, including a microphone, so that incoming sound can be used as live source material for the granular engine. This audio is processed in memory, in real time, on your own computer, and is discarded as it is replaced.

Incoming audio is written to a file only when you explicitly start a recording. It is never uploaded, analysed, or shared.

Files the application writes to your computer

All of these stay on your machine, under your control:

• Your presets — saved in your Documents folder when you choose to save one.
• Your recordings — saved in your Music folder when you start a recording.
• A diagnostics file — YantraGranular-diagnostics.log in your Documents folder. It is created only if the audio engine detects an internal fault, and it contains nothing but a timestamp, the name of the processing stage involved, and a small number of counters. It holds no personal information and no audio. It is never sent anywhere; you may delete it at any time.

Audio and sample files you load

Files you open are read from the location you choose and used only to produce sound. The application does not copy, index, or transmit them.

Children

Yantra Granular is a music production tool intended for general audiences. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

Purchases

If you bought Yantra Granular through the Microsoft Store, that purchase is handled entirely by Microsoft under Microsoft's privacy statement. We never see your payment details, and we receive no personal information about you from the transaction.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
